How important is Recovery and why?

Recovery. Don't underestimate the importance of it and why. Perfect example.

Yesterday I rode about 20 miles. I also did an upper body weight session for about 45 minutes. I say this not to brag, but to make a point.

Today, I walked 2.5 miles at a good pace and did a little foam rolling after.

Why an easy day?

βœ… when you work out hard, you tear down your muscles. If you don't allow for recovery, they don't build up and come back stronger. You are just continually breaking them down. πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

βœ… when you allow yourself a recovery day, you are better able to train hard again the next day😴

βœ… you are much more likely to have an injury if you don't work recovery into your training scheduleπŸ€•

βœ… you are less likely to burn out and quit training all together when you take a more measured approach. πŸ₯΅

Train smart. Get great results with the right program. πŸ‹πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈπŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ
